What to do with a CANDY horse?

I finally got my first CANDY horse ever! :D

This is the link to turn one in. You get the GMT and also keep the horse. They will keep the candy coating for a while but no guarantees as to how long. The candy coating randomly comes off of some of them and others seem to keep it longer. Either way you still have the horse and can breed and/or show it.
I have some that I turned in and they are still candy coated at 15 years old
