    I'm sorry, but PayPal is the only way to purchase upgrades. The bottom line is that accepting credit cards or other payments online directly is a security and book keeping nightmare that would cost way too much to handle.

    Sometimes people have family that uses PayPal and permit them to use their accounts, but not everyone is comfortable with that.

    Paypal is free and safe. It really is the best system for us and you. You don't want random little websites having your credit card information. Even if you trust them not to abuse the information there still is the issue they might get hacked.

    When I wanted to upgrade I had the same reservations as you. However, I found it very easy to set up a paypal account and have never had any trouble with it. Also, as I don't live in the USA the currency conversion is handled automatically and I can check my paypal account for the conversion rate used.
