DP GMT lab question
-
I tries to edit one of the DP gene is the lab and I received an error message which read "Could not edit horse. An error has occurred."
Does that mean he already had one copy of the gene?
This is the horse in question:

Thank you -
Does anyone have a suggestion? What does it say if a horse already has the gene?
-
I remember seeing somewhere, someone was worried about accidentally taking DP off of a het DP horse and Ammit said that if you tried to add it to the side that already had DP there would just be an error message, so perhaps that means yours does already have one copy! :) I could be totally wrong and hope that makes sense but definitely read it somewhere haha :)

You should try adding it to the other allele, e.g. if you tried the sire's first and got the error, then try the dam's, and vice versa.

I hope so I have no idea how to check for cur he's a bay.. so maybe I should breed him to a normal chestnut a few times and see ifhe throws all het babies?
