I think Ammit challenged anyone interested to see how long it would take to start with light horses and breed them up to heavy ones. That might entail breeding the light horses with the heaviest bone in that class together to get medium bone horses (warmbloods) and then gradually breeding warmbloods to increase their bone until you finally got draft horses.

However, there is nothing against breeding draft horses to warmbloods or to light horses. Many of the warmblood breeds, in real life, started out by crossing drafts with thoroughbred type horses and mixing in a little arab and so forth to get the quality and characteristics they were looking for. It is equally possible to cross drafts with other sizes in the game. The characteristics of the sire and dam for breeding and showing, height and bone density are combined and new random numbers for the foal are produced. If you breed a draft to a warmblood, the foal might turn out to be either.

I thought I might try selecting for the heavier bone foals on my older bloodlines and see how long it took me to get to drafts and cobs! But yeh as said there is no difference as far as showing goes, but the different size and bone to breed for if you choose to. We all have our different preferences!
