Auto Pasture Breeding

I think I am a little confused on Auto Pasture Breeding. I just remembered I had mares with two stallions in a pasture. I went to check on them and some are on Day 17, however there are no foals. Am I supposed to do something for Auto Pasture Breeding?A true racehorse is not trained, one is born.
