Lost my mare :(
-
So I lost my old mare today to colic :( I'm going to miss her so much.
The vet braided her tail for me and snipped it off so that I could have it to make into something. Where would you guys recommend that I look to get it made into a bracelet or something like that to remember her by?Post edited by jozylee at 2016-09-25 12:10:34 -
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Horses are such special friends, it's really hard when we lose one.
I did a google search for "horse hair jewelry makers" and there were several companies that will make jewelry from your horse's hair near the top of the first page. Here's a link to my search results.

Yeah she was definitely one of my best friends. :( The good news is that she isn't in pain anymore.
Wow there are lots of places that do them! Thanks! -

:( I'm so sorry for your loss! I have a bag with some of my first pony's mane in it. I had to put him down almost 12 years ago and it still makes me cry thinking about it. He had a good life and according to our best estimates was in his mid forties when he had his last bout with colic and let us know it was time.Specializing high quality dark horses with lots of chrome.

Wow! 40 is a long life for a horse! Missy was 20 but she acted much younger :) I miss her.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words.
