Maddening W3
-
Many, many moons ago, I won an auction for a Mr. Millions filly. (Thanks, DCF!) I payed well over 1million HBs for her - because going over 1M got her a breeding boost. >.> She was a rarity back in the day, being one of the very few ee W3s. This was back in the day before we could GMT things, so her having an e-linked W3 gene instead of an E-linked one made her very unusual.
In all the years that I bred her (she's since died of old age) I only ever got two offspring that got to stay intact. I think I spayed some because they didn't inherit the W3. But those two are both blue-papered mares. One of them is getting up there in years. She's 16 this year. The other one is 'only' 10, which is fairly young by comparison.
I've dutifully bred each of these mares at least once every year, because I love how unique this particular line is. Between the two of them, they have a total of 25 foals on the ground... and only ONE of those is intact. Brats... -
I just bred my Mr. Millions daughter (she's ee and Ch!), of course her filly came out intact but missed the W3 (and Sb3 from her sire) so she got spayed. I have a Mr. Millions son as well that's EE aa. He's so purdy. I love my Mr. Millions horses, always will!Imation Stud ID# 2609

Oh I feel your pain Stone Silo! My MM daughter has been surprisingly good to me really. My best gen4 stallion is a MM descendant too
