How to Breed Brindle Horses?
-
I would like to start breeding brindle horses on here but I don't know how to pass the brindle coloring onto foals even if I've bred two brindle horses together. Any help?ID: 96724
Licenses: DFP2, TMJB, SWM, Chinchilla, Mushroom -
Brindle is really, really, almost impossibly hard to breed for.
Most genes have a 50:50 chance of being passed on, but brindle's odds are waaaay lower. I believe it's something like a 1 in 100 chance of inheritance with one brindle parent and slightly better with two. Either way it's not actually something you can breed for practically simply because the odds are most certainly never in your favor.
