Thanks, Ammit for the Blackout
-
I had Champagne Tobiano for my herd helper yesterday, and it was still active this morning when I got up, so I decided to make them because Classic Champagne is my favorite of all the champagnes, which I like anyway.
AND, I hit the 10K lottery twice while I was creating them. It's a great morning.
Now I'll have a line of Champagne Tobiano draft horses, so I'll have to think of a clever name for it. *G*Thanked by 1Ammit -
The blackout does what exactly? Cause the horse to be black, and what happens to it's real color? Sorry, just confused
-
The blackout was a special 1 day event for "Black Friday" (the first shopping day after Thanksgiving in the U.S., so called because it's usually a day when retail store sales are especially profitable, in the "black"), announced at the top of the Create a Horse page.
It meant that if you had a Red Dun herd helper, for instance, all the horses created that day would be E? aa or black. Bay herd helpers would be the same. However, Champagne, for instance, was not affected, and none of the pattern genes were changed.
The real basic color for all horses was Black (or Grullo if Dun). No Red based horses could be made, no matter what the name and usual result of the Herd Helper might have been. -
What did you end up calling your line of draft horses? I'm just curious as to what you came up with. :)

I'm still thinking about that. The most "classic" champagne I'm aware of is Dom Perignon, but I'm certainly no expert.
