Renaming Horse?
-
Okay truthfully I have two questions, but the biggest one is:
Can I rename a horse? And if so, how? I tried checking the FAQ and searching the forums but I couldn't find anything relevant.
The second question is, what does the letter next to the level mean? (like 1J, 1N, etc) If there's already a post about that, could someone link me to it?
Thanks! And sorry for the questions, I'm still trying to learn the game :) -
1. You can rename a horse by going to its Control Panel tab, entering the new name in the box for changing the horse's name, then clicking the Rename button.
2. The letters after the number designation for a level are L--local, R--Regional, N--National, W--World. These are referred to as the Grades in a level and indicate the competition level of a class. In real-life, Local classes are in shows where mostly horses from a fairly small area compete--county fairs, or shows put on by a local horseman's association. Regional shows are those that are entered by horses from a multi-state area. National shows have horses competing from an entire country in them; for instance there is a National horse show that takes place in Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania, each year. World shows are the extremely prestigious shows where horses and riders from many countries compete against each other. The game's show classifications echo this aspect of real-life.
The levels are sometimes referred to by number and other times by name. Here is the complete list:
Level 1-- Inhand
Level 2 -- Green under saddle
Level 3 -- Green over fences
Level 4 -- Training
Level 5 -- C level
Level 6 -- B level
Level 7 -- A level
Level 8 -- Grand Prix
3. This game is extremely complex and is continually being updated and upgraded. If we had a comprehensive guide to the game, it would have to be updated more than once a month, and the time of the creator is much better spent in improving the game than in having to rewrite sections of a complete guide. However, we are always glad to help out new players, so never apologize for asking questions. We have all gone through the same learning curve.
4. In case you haven't found them yet, at the bottom of the left menu bar, you will find two helpful links. Breeding Info contains a complete explanation of breeding in the game. Genetics Guide is the start of a complete explanation of horse color genetics. It's a work in progress, so some sections are more detailed than others, but it covers most of the color and pattern genes available in the game.
In the Announcements section of the forum is a collection of Important Links that you may also find useful.
