Lethal Kit combinations Have been drasticly updated!
  • Kit mutations have been drastically updated. While you are waiting for me to make a post about later today it here is an updated lethality chart.

    image

Green means a viable foal red means a lethal foal. 1-6 represents the white factor of the foal. The bigger the white factor the greater the risk of deceased foal.

Full explanation, link to this chart, a simplified chart etc coming later today.

  • On foals that carry a KIT mutation you will also see "Kit Mutation Load". This is a little temporary thing to help with the transition. Over 100 means lethal 100 and under is ok. The number is to help you get a feel for the new system and will be removed after next breeding season ends.

  • My breeding program just pooped its pants
  • So it seems that WF: None and WF: Minimal fares the best for most of those genes.
  • I am "happy" to report that I stuck two W3 stallions in a pasture with mostly W3 and various sabino-carrying mares and got 57 out of 57 live foals from the experiment. KML from the batch ranges from 6 to 75, which probably doesn't mean a whole lot other than that we're now WAY less likely to encounter lethal crosses than before (excluding frame and splash, as always.)

    Yay!
  • Definitely a big improvement. I got around to breeding my last pasture, and one foal had a load of 90+ but still under 100. Under the old system, it would have been fatal, but the foal stayed alive. I like.
