I remember forever ago getting help starting coding a website from this community and was hoping I might catch some help again.
I coded a full web site about a decade ago that was actually streamlined and nice (none of the crazy flashy buttons and glitter banners) from scratch and... I cant remember how to get started now.

Any good starter guides you know of?

(I remember a lot of the simple coding... but, this will sound dumb - I cant seem to even get an index page up)

If you Google HTML tutorial, you'll find lots of online options, including free sites that can give you some help. I'd suggest checking them out, starting with html.com , to find what you need.

I was mostly trying to find a way to ask WHICH folder I needed to put the index page in, which directory... but I couldn't figure out how to ask. Couple hours later after moving it into EVERY folder possible lololol I found it >.>

That varies with who is hosting your web page. There is no one answer to that.
