This season I bred this lovely mare.

She was the best foal of her pasture, but she PT tested lower than 10.

Usually when I test a pasture best foal, they tend to have one of the higher PT scores, if not the highest score, from their respective pastures. So I was really surprised to see her test on the low end.

I would say that probably means that her unseen breeding ability must be high, even if her PT is not.

She's 3rd gen, and her PT is 9.9. She's definitely a keeper. I had kept her because the email said she was the best pasture foal, so I figured there was something I wasn't seeing.
