So after a very successful breeding season, I've got 5/6 colts through strict testing... One is an A the rest are all B's out of B stallions and yellow and red papered mares, massive increase on last season with no C or Yellow foals :) just wondering though, how would you go about thinning the blood again? All the colts minus the A are gorgeous coloureds, but obviously he's the highest rated little guy... I'm just not sure what to do, if I'd be better being completely brutal and just cutting the rest of the colts or cherry picking my favourite colours and culling the rest.

I would definitely comparison test whoever you want to keep to their sire to make sure they are superior. Pretty colors are nice, but if they aren't making a positive impact on your lines, you really have to decide which is more important to you. I focus on improving with each generation, so I geld like fiend! If there really is one that you can't bare to part with, you could always save up some hbs for IVs and boost him.

Thanks very much! I've culled a few now, so left with 3 of them, will test them all just now, but not gonna lie it's nerve wracking! Haha

Phew, the two favourite boys have both shown superior! And the worst has been gelded, woohoo! Thank god for that :)

I've been there before! Sometimes I literally start to sweat when testing a colt I absolutely love! I'm glad you got some superiors in there!

Yep, Thankfully, I would have cried if I didnt, still need to test my nexus colt too, but thats giving me the heeby jeebies
