So I finally found an inexpensive but well-bred w3 mare to breed into my lines (hopefully getting a w3 horse!). She was just a plain W3 bay and I bred her to my most colorful 2g black stud (since i hadnt found any good straws to buy yet).

Of ALL the color possibilities, he came out black. what the genetic XD haha -
Ah, the joys of heterozygous genes! It so often happens that a mare and/or stallion fail to pass on the trait you want.
