Performance test scores
-
I just started playing this game. I tested my horses and their PT's ranged from 2.30 to 10.10, what is good? They are warmbloods and range from yearlings to four year olds.

Welcome to Hunt and Jump.
PT score is a measure of how well and how quickly your horse will train. It is a rough prediction of how far they will climb up the progression of show levels. In foundation horses, it has not connection to the horse's ability for breeding.
The lower the PT score, the worse the horse will be at showing. With a PT score of 2.30, it will probably never get much farther than Level 1 or the lower grades of Level 2. It will probably stop adding points to its show score when it is 2 years old. However, it may be a very fine stud or brood mare, and produce foals that are much, much better than itself for showing.
A score of 10.10 would be exceptional for a second generation horse and good for a third generation horse. It will continue to add points to its show score until it is 10 if it is intact, and until it is 11 if it is neutered. It will probably reach Level 6 in showing, at least. Once again, this PT score will not be a good predictor of its breeding ability.
If you click on Showing in the left menu and go to My Show Entries, you will find a chart that lists all the showing levels.
Feel free to ask if there is something here that you'd like to have explained. This is a complex game based on the uncertainties of real life, so it's hard to cover it in a single post.
