This info has been posted around but I wanted to combine it into one place for you.

I wanted to do some updates to chestnut horses and flaxen. This is going to entail a large amount of work on the manes. I figured there was no point in doing all that work twice since I knew I wanted to update how manes and tails work. The first step in getting these new interchangeable manes and tails to work was to change how the horse image was cut out. That is also the same processes needed to make backgrounds work.

Horse images currently have a background on them to show off the new work that is being done. Right now if you reroll your horse will default to the fall hedge background since it matches the other site updates, and shows off the new background capabilities. The backgrounds will be totally changeable once the new tack manager is complete. (Haystack is working on the new system as we speak) . Between now and then all horses when rerolled will get the fall background. This is not the permanent new default background. I have yet to decide what that will be but plain flat blue like we have always had will either be the default or a free option.

Tack works for the most part unaltered with the new backgrounds. There may be some that have some oddities but over all they should go over the background with no issue. The exception is tails. Tails do not work at all with the new system and are intentionally turned off right now. They will be back soon once I get the new tail system working. They should be back soon.

There is a lot of image changes happening at one time right now. I know it is starting to eat at the edge of some people's comfort zones. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been supportive so far. We are going to ease back a little bit and slow down some of these gene and color updates and concentrate on some more user interface streamlining and clean up.
