Should I...

Thinking of spending real life money by the end of the month, aside from the premium upgrade.
Thinking of either spending the $50 for two plaid genes or getting two ($60) pastures.
I have the GMTs to add the watercolor to two foundations which I would spend the RL money to add plaid to, but I don't know if I have the time to add another gene in my herd to manage.
I spent the RL money on Axiom and it seems people were never really that into the gene. Just don't want to spend money on genes where I can't find people to trade with. People seem to be selling them to afford and make room for the new gene.
I'm thinking of just spending my GMTs on trade able genes like s+, satin etc and changing stallions to mares and then spending the RL money on pastures. Thoughts? -
Oh, I love my Axioms. However, I do in house breeding on those lines. It's just that I want brown, DP and appaloosa in those lines if possible.

Just a quick note. It is plaid you can buy with GMTs and watercolor that has to be bought with money :)ID 195859

Lol thanks.

There appear to be fewer watercolor foundations than Axiom ones, even.
It probably depends on your personal goals and what you want to do with the gene. If you're looking for something you can sell to try and recoup some of your costs after the fact, LE genes are not a good bet. But then neither are the tradeable ones, really. If you're looking for something with a large base of bloodlines to pick from, the tradeable genes are definitely easier to acquire, but they're rarely profitable.
Really, in general, selling horses is not the way to afford much of anything.Thanked by 1Ammit -
Thank you Stone Silo. Not much seems "profitable", much like in RL, what I was thinking is "desirable". I should have clarified :)

I have seen zero evidence that people are getting rid of axiom to make room for this. Everyone who you might trade closed genes with already has the gene. They just don't need your horses as they already have their own horses they have plenty of. Just like any line you have to be making something pretty special if you want be able to sell them. And LE genes are a pretty small pool of very dedicated players. hard to make something more special then they can already breed for.
The new genes work amazing with axiom. There will probably be an upswing of activity as people who both genes trade in their herds.Post edited by Ammit at 2017-10-22 12:39:33Need to contact me? Read this first.

^ no worries, just an observation. Just trying to decide what to spend money on this month. :)

Sounds like you may be happier with genes you can sell. GMTs are on sale right now so it's a good time. :)Need to contact me? Read this first.

"they just don't need your horses."
Again no worries, I wasn't selling or making room in my herd, in fact I increased my Axioms pretty cheaply the past couple weeks. -
Yes lol I noticed, so are pastures which I really want :)

I hardly sell my special genes horses and the special genes I do are trades with responsible players.
Don't get me wrong, I love the color of Axiom and maybe one of the reasons I kinda want plaid is to see how it'll mix.
