Basic breeding information:

Breeding season is every 2 months and coincides with the start of each Hajinc year lasting from the 1st of the month through the 21st. (this is currently a month that is open for breeding)

The first day of breeding is reserved for the game Administrator and Moderators to breed their horses to make sure there are no bugs or errors after the roll over.
The second day of breeding is open for upgraded members and beginning on the 3rd day breeding is open to everyone.

There are sever ways you can choose to breed a horse. The least expensive and best way to start is using live breeding (live cover).

You can create or purchase a 4 year old (or older) unbred mare or use the search function to find one you like that is offered for public brood.

You can then pair her with a stallion that is at least 3 years of age. You must have either the stallion or the mare (just one or the other is needed) up for public breeding to live cover, even if you own both the horses.

Live covers will cost you a minimum of 1000hb for vet care for the mare. This does not include the cost if you choose to use someone else's public brood or stud.

You will have to pay the vet for the care of your mare. Live cover breedings will cost 1000 hb.

Other breeding methods available are through Artificial Insemination (AI) and Embryo Transplant (ET), but you must have at least a level 3 upgrade to use the Advanced Breeding Sciences Lab page.

Important notes:
Mares can only be live covered once per season. On the mares page it will indicate how many live covers or foal she carried this year
Stallions can only have 50 live covers/year
It is best to begin with a goal to know what you want to breed for, e.g. color
Most people on here also try to breed even generations (pedigrees). In other words breeding foundation (created) horses to other foundations, 2nd generation to 2nd generation, and so on
