The DP gene and Cremellos
-
Was wondering a bit about Cremellos, since they are a red (ee) based horse, so figured they should also have the DP gene, but was wondering how to be able to tell they carry it. I bought this stud as his coloring just caught my eye, but I am thinking it might be something else and not DP because I am not seeing much in his foals, for darkness, except when I use a DP mare; unless of course the cream gene is messing with that. I still think he is really neat looking in that its hard to see his spots (which to me look amazingly yellow when you can see them).
What do you all think? Was wondering if maybe he has at least 1 DP gene, that is working with his sty gene.

Here are his foals I've breed so far, and the first and last mares had DP, the rest were regular or dark chestnut.
