Color question
-
Is there anything special about the dark spots on this horse's coat?
-
Nope. They're just "corn marks" which is a typical trait in Roans if the skin has been damaged in that spot (nick, minor scrape, bite, etc.). In real life, the hair will grow back in that area the color of the horse's base coat, with no roaning. When they were first introduced to the game, years and years ago, they were a pretty big deal - but now they're just another characteristic you can get in Roans. In the game, we don't really think of them as damaged areas, as it's very random, that's just what causes them in real life. Wouldn't it be cool though if a horse who creates a lot of damage got more corn marks? Haha.
Nonetheless, whatever their cause, I still think they're neat though!Imation Stud ID# 2609
