Why is she so white?

its because white factor is extensive. if you take it down to minimal she will be mostly solid

She has 2 different genes contributing to her being mostly white, either of which by itself would probably do it. First she is splash 1/splash 3 with extensive white factor, as cliche explained. Second, she is homozygous for appaloosa and PATN1 which likely would make her a few spot leopard, or at least near leopard. Between the 2 it is no wonder that the only color left is a few streaks in her tail.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses in all the fancy colors.

Just taking a look at these guys shows that sometimes WF won't play a factor. I have plenty that are WF none or WF light and still look like this. -

I didn't think so I thought it had something to do with the blanket size along with the PATN1 gene
