I haven't gotten a new herd helper today :( I got the expro splash one yesterday and created from it and posted it on facebook. Then today I created the ones I got from the shares (right after you changed the DHH price to 1K), and when I x'ed it out I didn't get a new one. I still had a few hours left, so I thought I'd wait until it would have ran out to see if I got a new one then, but nope...

When did you activate yours yesterday? It probably hasn't hit the time threshold between HHs yet.

Yes it has. It was five hours left before I quit work, and it's six hours since I got off.

Plus, I was pretty certain that I got a new one when I x'ed out the old one, as long as it was a new date.

I moved this out of the bug section. If it doesn't show up tomorrow you can post it as a bug then. :) I don't have enough here yet to confirm a bug.

A couple of times, I have failed to get a new DHH as well, when there had been a midnight rollover between activating it and dismissing it. It seems to happen when I had taken a share of someone else's HH and X it out right before cancelling my own. The next day I got a new DHH as usual. If I cancelled my own DHH first and a share of the other DHH second, then I did get a new Herd Helper right away.
