To get a Grullo in real life you usually have to have a black horse and a red dun somewhere in genetics unless you have a grullo that you are breeding. Is it the same In the game?

A grullo is a black dun, and has nothing to do with paint genes. This game is about as true to real life genetics as you can get, so grullos would have genes like such: Ee aa Dd, Ee aa DD, EE aa DD, etc. You can use the game search for the color name grullo for more genetic examples in the game.

I breed grullos on both games so have examples of most open patterns on grullos in all different combinations except appy and roan.
