Breeding Advice After Gender Change

    I have a stallion that never produces a colt worthy of breeding (they’re literally ALWAYS gelded after going through Breeding Advice). The same stallion has produced several mares that ARE worthy of breeding and have remained intact.

    My question is, if I changed the gender of an intact mare that has already gone through the Breeding Advice and remained intact, will she now become a tested stallion? Or will I have to put them through the Breeding Advice again?

    I would really like a colt from this stallion that would remain intact after testing, but I’m not going to waste Tokens if I’m going to end up with another castrated offspring.

    You would have to put it through the breeding advice! Try to use better quality mares to breed him to maybe. Do you have a link to the stallion?

    My understanding with the new SBA is that it compares to both parents, so if they pass as a mare then they should pass as a stallion. However if you are getting intact mares I'd keep trying as the odds should then go your way for an intact colt eventually

    He sounds like Secretariat, to me. :D Ammit has truly created a game that is true to real life, in its genetic workings. Here's a passage from the Wikipedia article on that famous race horse, whom I fondly remember watching run on TV, when I was much younger.

    At the beginning of his three-year-old year, Secretariat was syndicated for a record-breaking $6.08 million on condition that he be retired from racing by the end of the year. Although he sired several successful racehorses, he ultimately was most influential through his daughters' offspring, becoming the leading broodmare sire in North America in 1992. Secretariat died in 1989 due to laminitis. His daughters produced several notable sires, including Storm Cat, A.P. Indy, Gone West, Dehere and Chief's Crown, and through them Secretariat appears in the pedigree of many modern champions. He continues to be recognized as one of the greatest horses in American racing history.

    This is the stallion. He’s been bred to high quality mares and lesser ones too. No matter the mare, no stud colts from him!
