My pasture wont breed

I now have a pasture of 10 mares full and ready to breed. Eligible stallion in there, when I go to breed, it says successful and sent email however, nothing is being bred and there are no emails coming through?...Just fumbling around this awesome game :)

How old are your mares and stud? Older and younger horses are able to be put in the pastures and horses that are too old to breed will still say they can be bred but won’t actually be bred.
Also how many breedings has your stud already done this year. If your over your max 50 live cover breedings it also won’t go throughBreeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes -
Mares range from 4-6 yrs and stud is 2. None have any covers so far this season...Just fumbling around this awesome game :)
