The normal breeding times come at the beginning of each game year. In this game, the year starts on the first of January, March, May, July, September, and November and runs through the 27th of those months. Ammit does sometimes open a briefer breeding time during the other months, as Kintara mentioned.

Administrators begin breeding on the 1st to make sure there are no bugs. Members with upgrades are assigned times on the 2nd when they may begin breeding. Everyone else may begin on the 3rd.

Either the stallion or the mare must be placed for public breeding. You will find a button on the horse's control page that allows you to set a price. When you have finished using a stallion you've put up, you can either leave it available to anyone interested for that price, or set the breeding price to 0hb to remove him from availability. Stallions may have 50 live covers each season. Mares can only be bred once, unless you can make embryos or pull eggs.

You can search for stallions up for public stud to use on your mares, being careful to follow any breeding rules posted. If you can also look for mares up for public brood for your stallions as well. You must own either the stallion or the mare. Only one horse needs to be up for public use.
