There isn't a breeder's club for the ordinary sooty gene. There is a club for Sooty+ so you need to add the S+ gene by exchanging either the S or the Sst for an S+ in the GMT lab. That will allow you to register the horse in the S+ breeder's club as only one allele is needed.
