New Car
-
So our cobalt's engine light kept coming on, of course 4000Km after warranty expires. >.<. Only 117K on it, looks like a bad cylinder. Which means we would have to put a new engine in, which would be more than the car is worth. It was all paid off and everything, but worth only scrap now. Sigh. Well it was a cheap car, did its part I guess. I really loved driving it, with was small and zippy. <br />So we went car shopping and brought home a new Mazda 3. Nice little subcompact with all the fun stuff, handles great and the warranty is for unlimited Km's, which is kinda cool.
I wasn't wanting to spend money until my Dad's estate is finalized, but oh well. We need a reliable car, don't want to take the truck in for errands and such. -
Good luck with the new car.
I have my fingers crossed about my 2001 Dodge van. It's pushing 150,000 miles and still running fine. -
My 2001 Ford Taurus has 236,000 miles on it. It's a trooper. It's had the heads replaced and a few other small things, but for the most part it's been very reliable and still gets around 30 miles per gallon.
I love our diesel pickups though, you hit 200,000 miles and you've pretty much just broken it in.
Congrats on the new car!Post edited by Raina at 2014-11-29 18:15:12Imation Stud ID# 2609

I think you'll really like your 3. My mom bought a brand new 2006 Mazda6 (obviously back in '06 lol) that she handed down to me when we had our first daughter. Still going strong at 165k miles with no issues, lights, or indication of quitting any time soon. We love it so much that we talked her into buying a 2010 CX9 when she passed her 6 down to us, and just recently convinced her to sell that to us as well, but the loan fell through. She said it's a good thing it didn't work out, because after car shopping, she realized how much she really loved her CX9.Go boldly, where no App has gone before!
