When culling you need to come up with some goals.
What are you looking to breed?
Are you looking to breed even? (By paper level or by generation?)
Are you looking to improve PT scores?
Are you interested in breeding a particular colour / pattern?Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes -
Everyone’s goals are different and that’s ok.
Personally I breed Grullos with white patterns
I breed evenly by generation and then within the generation I try to match papers.
I don’t care about PT scores but to stay intact I do require the horse to be consistent.
On each game I have 2 “special genes” indicated in the names so that I focus on crossing those together for Homo pairings. (Axiom/nexus and KP here, ice and satin on hj2) beyond those I have added a bunch of different patterns and just mix and match.
When culling I do bulk testing for all available testing (I’ve got a premium upgrade so have all available) starting with SBA, performance inspection then gene testing.
Here I stop and do my first run through and open the search page and cull any inconsistent or “not like” grullo colour horses.
Then I go back to the barn page for breeding inspection to paper everything that’s still intact. My breeding barns are all sorted by generation so I glance down the list and cull any papers below the 2 highest in each barn (once a barn is starting to paper a majority the higher paper I only keep 1) next I comparison test all the stud colts against their sire. I have enough upcoming studs that superior to sire is a requirement to stay intact.
Lastly I update each intact foals name to indicate Gender, generation, name/ID# and special genes
Most of my horses just have ID# until they interest me enough to open their page multiple times to look at them or someone’s requested straws or eggsBreeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes -
Without knowing your goals my first reaction would be to cull the first and last stallions.
The first because he is unevenly bred generation wise and the second for being the odd duck out colour wise (although I’d repeat that breeding next year to try for a different colour result because his pedigree is very pleasing to my eye with everyone being a similar darkish shade with similar amount of white pattern)
I’d keep the foundation unless you could find a similar coloured one that has been papered (unless you are able to paper yourself then I’d suggest papering everyone and culling any that paper lower than their sire. (I only keep foundation C paper and allow 2-3 generations for each B & A)Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes
