Paper Help
-
I’m still really new to the whole breeding thing and trying to figure it out, so sorry for the billions of questions lol. But anyway, if I were to breed say, a yellow papered mare to a B papered stallion would there be a chance of the foal having a b or (I think the next level for mares is red) or red paper? Also where do I get a higher papered foundation horse to breed with because I know a lot of them are only c and yellow. Thanks and be prepared for a lot more questions, very sorry lol.

The easiest way to get higher papered foundations is to look for Exceptional Producing herd helpers. Those are guaranteed to be B or Red papered. Also look for Exceptionally Perfect HHs. A bunch of the Rank Special HHs are as well, though I can't tell you exhaustively which are which off the top of my head.
Yes, there is a chance of getting Red or B when you breed a yellow to a B. It's a bit harder to get intact foals that way because the B is a step higher on the breeding chart than the yellow, but it's not impossible. You can easily get Red and B-papered offspring when you breed a yellow to a C, too; in fact ideally if you start there with your foundation horses, you want any of their foals that you leave intact for breeding to be red or B papered.Thanked by 1ReesesStable -
Also, the papering goes C - B - A - *Star for colts/stallions, and Yellow - Red - Blue - *Gold for fillies/mares :)ID 195859Thanked by 1ReesesStable

Thank you both, this is very helpful! :D

Generally, you don't want to keep intact horses that paper worse than their parents.
