Determining between two full brothers
-
I have a colt from last season that tested superior to sire but didn't get any of the genes I want to breed for. This season's colt out of the same mare got all the genes but is worse that his older brother. Trying to decide if it would be better to boost the foal or GMT the 2yo?
Here is the foal B papered

And his older brother A papered

Boosts costs alot more than GMTs, and lined horses only use one GMT per allele, so unless you are going to use more than 10 GMTs, I would do the one that just needs GMT work.ID 195859

I usually snip any lower papered horses from any of my studs. I would do as maribo suggested and gmt the higher papered horse or wait a year or two to see if you get a better colt before he’s bredBreeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes
