GMTing A 2nd Gen Horse
-
Can you only put genes on a 2nd gen horse if the parents have that gene? Trying to decide if I should breed my 2nd gen 3 yr old or if I can put next month's roving gene sale genes on him,
-
Yes, for lined horses, you can only add genes that they could have inherited from their parents. If you want to add genes from the Roving Gene, you need a foundation.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses in all the fancy colors.

Special genes are only ever able to be added to foundation horses, the roving genes are no exception. Since a lined horse has a specific set of genetics it can inherit from it's parents, you can only add genes that are possible from the parents.Go boldly, where no App has gone before!
