In the last couple of months, my daughter and I have noticed that one horse has been showing up very frequently on the log in page for H&J1. It seemed that the opening horse was a palomino roan dun with white socks and a narrow blaze that soon became very familiar. Finally I began keeping a record whenever he showed up on my computer. My daughter added a couple of entries when she was using the family computer instead of her laptop.

This evening, I decided I'd go check out who this frequent visitor might be.

Meet him here, one of the oldest horses in the game, a thirty year old gelding belonging to MonsterPony. He's been a part of the game for over 4 real-life years, and is still showing.

Wow that is amazing. I have him pop up on my log-in screen a lot too. I just thought it was because I click on favorite to get here, and he was the horse at the time I created the link, so I thought he just kinda became part of the link to get here, lol. Glad to see that he still up and active!

I recall seeing him on my log in page very regularly too.
Until I read this I thought he was just a standard image for the page, never realised he was an actual game horse

All the images that show up on that page are actual game horses, though some are now deceased. Their information is still in the archives, though.

They just are generally extremely random, so seeing one show up so often is quite unusual enough to notice.

Nope it only shows living horses. This guy is the oldest living horse in the game and once he dies he will no longer show on the list.

Okay. I was keeping track of another one that showed up fairly frequently, though not as frequently as he does. That one was deceased at the time I checked. That may be why it hasn't shown up since then.

He is still alive but owned by the Archive.

I think the fact that he is owned by the archive means that he didn't make it and all the sections of the programming haven't caught up with it yet. I just checked one of my own horses who passed over the rainbow bridge today, and she is now owned by the Archive.

However, he did indeed show up on the log in page for me as well today. This may be the last times we'll see him.

Yep, I think he lived for so long he doesn't know he is dead, as I just had him come up on my log in a couple of minutes ago.

I had him appear too. I figured it was a regular foundation. Congrats on finding him. Whats the oldest horse on the game?

After this guy, who is currently listed as being owned by the archive, and so may be deceased since the yearly roll over, although he is not listed as deceased yet, this pretty spayed mare appears to be the oldest at 29.
