He is a 2nd generation C papered.

Last year I crossed him to a 1st generation Yellow papered mare.

The resulting filly Failed her papering and spayed!

How can I better pic mares for him to produce foals that pass Breeding Advice? -
Heya RosePetalRanch...
Breeding is kind of a gamble, every time. That cross is actually a good one. They're pretty equally matched in the breeding department (C+Yellow) which is the best way to get intact foals. Unfortunately, most crosses do not result in foals that are good enough breeding stock to merit being left intact, most of them in fact so poor at it that the game's tests spay/geld them ASAP. It's just the nature of the game, but it's also a good one, because that's a really pretty show baby, who can make you a lot of money in the future.
That said, you might have better luck with pasture breeding. The longer you leave mares in the pasture (up to 30 days) the less random their breeding is, so you will on average get more intact babies. Unfortunately they can't do anything else while in the pasture.Thanked by 1ConfluenceStable
