How will mushroom change my stud?
-
I'm interested in the mushroom gene - I've seen so many very lovely pixel ponies with it! However, I'm trying to get an idea of what it would actually do on my prize stud. He's a Candy Appleloosa with hom DP, hom S+, hom kit promoter, and hom gulastra plume. Does anyone have any guidance on how exactly my boy might look with mushroom? I only found one or two comparable horses when I searched, so maybe you'll have better luck! Thanks in advance!

Bump - I'm hoping for an answer while mushroom is still for sale :)

This is where the SEARCH HORSES feature is your friend.
I put in the files Must Have E, Must have A, Must not have A+ (dominant over A), Must not have S, and Nust not have Mu.
DP is not searchable.

I appreciate it! I saw those, but my question was more about people's experiences with how mushroom altered their own horses and how the gene works. Plus, my boy is hom At, which is far rarer with mushroom in the search. With bays in general, I see hom mushroom horses that are still pretty red, and hom mushroom horses that are this rich dark brown. I'm just not sure what makes the difference!

I don't think it will visually effect your boy much if at all because i think its based on red pigment. But i could be wrong, i'm not 100% sureBluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755

I don't happen to have a bay mushroom horse, but here are a couple of non-sooty red duns, one mumu, the other not. Perhaps by comparing their colors, you can get an idea of the effect mumu would have on the red hairs of your bay.
