Most unsuccessful I've ever been...
  • I know that the father apart the gens are the more the foals are to be snipped. But... I've never had this much failure with this guy. I've bred him to 1Gs before and have had great success until now sadly. These guys and gals hurt me deeply, (more than words can express) at least I won't have to fight over who goes and stays as their good show horses...
This guy...his name speaks for itself.

    The Tears Arent GoingAway

These last two aren't bad at least, but still all this kinda sucks. Never going to have this guy as a pasture stallion again! I'm hand breeding him from now on, I do much better that way for some reason.

  • It isn't about the generation that raises the chance of an intact foal but rather the paper level. Yellow = C, Red = B, Blue = A and Gold = *Star. Try breeding your A paper stallion with blue papered mares for a better chance of intact offspring.

  • That makes sense then... somewhat at least. Either way I'm now hand breeding him hoping it goes much better. But thanks for that information! I'm writing that down.
  • Look at it another way... now you have a successful crop of young show horses!
  • That is true! It still sucks very much cause most of them is exactly what I'm trying to breed for but hey at least it's more hbs for me instead of just spending them on breeding everyone all the time, lol!
  • My two cents here - I am happy when most of the colts fail SBA. More show stock for me! I'm also happy when fillies don't pass SBA too. More show stock, and I don't have to worry about trying to cram them into pastures.

However, I have felt that pain when a colt I really liked the looks of didn't pass SBA or only compared AGA his sire.

And I loved your name choices, they were really funny.
  • Maybe if you start EXPECTING to get show horses, you will appreciate the intact horses more?! :P

  • @Forestshadow Yea the funny names and the fact that I get more hbs and less horses to breed makes me better in a way!
ConfluenceStable I really should but I can't help but to hope every time for intacts!
