Why is she so dark?

Looking through my silvers and noticed one of my GMT mares is super dark.. almost chocolate like... I thought "maybe it's because shes hom sty"... but one of my other GMT silver mares is hom sty and shes not this dark... anyone have any ideas?

There's usually some variability in color, even with the same genetics, I think. However, DP can crop up spontaneously in creates, so she might just be carrying DP. I'm not an expert with non-chestnut DP carriers, though.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2019-01-05 10:05:59
