Can someone tell/explain to me how your horse gets into trouble?
-
Think about real life horses - it just happens. They get kicked in the field, scrape their side on the stall, cut their knee open, wherever. That mechanic just mimics real life stuff that comes up with horses, but the game lets you deal with it much cheaper than real life.

Originally, I have heard, when the game was very young and didn't have all the testing it does now, large damages were a sign that a horse wasn't a good breeder. By large, I mean something a great deal more significant than the common 1 or 2 hajibucks per incident we see now. Ammit has recently said that there is still a tie in to breeding ability, especially for enormous amounts of damage, but for the most part, you can safely ignore damages.
Over on the Forest Server, HaJ2, there is an ongoing thread about the adventures of one Wreck It Ralph, created on June 10, 2018. His owner, intrigued by the huge amount of damages he was collecting, decided to keep him just to see how high he could go. He is now 11 years old. His paper test calls him Showable Only; his PT score is 0.02, and his damage record looks like this:
488 hb's worth of damage on 2018-06-21
494 hb's worth of damage on 2018-06-28
97 hb's worth of damage on 2018-07-22

56 hb's worth of damage on 2018-12-30
Total, today, 7,119 hajibucks in lifetime damages.
He has quite a following of players, me included, who enjoy hearing about him, speculate about what in the world he has done this time, and even occasionally breed a mare to him just to see what might happen. He doesn't produce particularly good foals, naturally, and some of them have even started their own high damage careers.
His average foal PT score is 6.13 for 150 foals.
I think we must all have more hajibucks than we know what to do with. :DPost edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2019-01-09 17:34:53 -
I remember that there even used to be a special leaderboard for the worst horses in the game when I joined, 11 real life years ago. I really wish it would be possible to breed for bad horses, that would be a really fun addition to the game :DThanked by 1kgstable

Ive got 2 horses that keep getting into trouble. the one just cost me 1000 HB
-
When The Western version(s) of the game were still alive we had a show category for 'Rodeo Bronc' that was just that; those bad ponies 'showed' and earned their keep! The more the damage, the better the bronc!
Backwoodsgal, 1000 sounds REALLY high! Can you post a link to the horse?Post edited by ConfluenceStable at 2019-01-16 09:06:08

Do we have a Wreck It Ralph or Ralphett here on HJ1 ... might be interesting to see if they get a following here too lol
-
I do not own him anymore. His consistency was inconsistent and he was not a breed-able horse, so i sold him back to the game. I had named him Black as Coal. I do not really get on here unless I am at work and have my work caught up. Sorry I missed your messages. I do have another horse who once got into a little trouble but do not remember the damage done.

Lmao! I have 3 Ralph babies on HJ2. He's only one is starting to take after his daddy though. I'm slightly disappointed. :-PPost edited by buttrflyfreefall at 2019-01-18 15:59:57Chuck help me resist the Shiny babies.... Chuck says I'm on my own. :'(
