Satin Question
  • I put satin on this guy...why isn’t it showing?

  • He's homozygous dominant Gray. At 6 years old, the gray has washed out most of his color, so there's very little space for the shimmer of satin to show up on. The slightly pinkish patch along his ribs might be a trace of satin, but that's all you're going to see, and he will be all white before too many game years pass by. He will pass on both satin and gray to all his offspring, however.

I would recommend, if you can afford it, taking him into the GMT lab and making him homozygous recessive gray. That would allow the satin to become visible.

  • Thank you so much I will definitely do that! I had no idea his gray would affect it! So glad there is so many nice people to help on here :)
