This has been the worst winter

First, one of my female rabbits died unexpectedly a couple months ago. Then while i was in Kentucky over New Years my dad had to take my dog to get put down. And now, this afternoon, i found my favorite rabbit dead. Theo was my baby. I got him when he was 4ish months old and he would have turned 5 years old a week from tomorrow. I am so heartbroken. He has struggled with health issues before and this bitter cold spell was just too much for him. He was my first herd sire when i started breeding show rabbits and he sired so many litters before his retirement. I still have one of his babies and my sister has another from a different litter. So i at least have them to remember him by :( I miss him so much already =((

Awwww, I'm so sorry for all your losses. I have two dogs of my own plus we have almost 10 dogs on this ranch owned by other family members, so I know that was not at all easy. I can't even think of how I'll handle losing either of my two babies. We also breed, raise, and sell rabbits too. It's always so sad to see one's you love so much go. But in the end as a good note, you can start looking out for your new favorite to cherish! It'll help in the long run. Plus you at least have two of his babies to see if you need to, so that's good. I hope things get better for you. Things seem very depressing and rough right now. All the warmest hugs sent your way.Thanked by 1HayesStable

Sorry for your loss. That's such a tough thing to go through! You two clearly had a great relationship; thank you for sharing a small piece of it with us.Thanked by 1HayesStable

I am so very sorry. I lost our 15 year old dog in June and we have two other seniors (14 & 13)... I know your pain. I hope 2019 is better.Thanked by 1HayesStable
