Oh, I can't wait for April! We will be getting our first batch of chicks! Can't wait for the little peepers!
We will be getting 6 buff orpingtons and 6 Dominiques.
So eggcited! ;)

We have our laying flock made up of ISA Browns, Black Astralops and Silver Laced Wyandottes that live with our 4 ducks. And we just picked up a dozen little bantam chicks and we are not sure what they are, but they sure are cute :) . We have had fresh eggs all winter and they taste so much better than store bought eggs.

Oh guys! I think I'm going to burst with excitement!
Happy It's-Nearly-April-I'm-So-Ready-For-It day! \:D/
We will hopefully get them early April.... I can't wait much longer! We are getting ready for them. We have gotten some stuff for 'em, such as
1. Big plastic box(for a brooder)
2. Teensy little chick feeder/waterer
That's it so far, we still gotta go to the store and get food/lamp.

Can't wait!!! :D

Update: We got a call from the place we're ordering the chicks from, and we won't get them till May because of a "production delay". Kind of disappointed, but I guess it will be better because of it'll be warmer. We got more snow last night. X( it's supposed to be Spring...
Oh well. I'll post some pics when we get them.

Well, I know it's not May, yet, but at least it's warm. It has been 49-50 out all day. This is the first time I've been inside since this morning. Wonderful day! :-bd

We have been working on the coop, and it's almost done. The chicks are supposed to come on the 15th or 16th of May.
