Blue Roan Spots?
-
I was roaming through the auction as one does when they are in need and noticed the blue roans, I don't usually look much into them since I don't breed them but the variations caught my eye today.
I noticed some blue roans have dark spots and some don't, is there a reason?
I have found a few with spots:
Ff boyz
this guy has frame and 2 copies of Sstv, but I also found another frame blue roan with one copy of Sstv with no spots
Shower 3384267
But also heres a blue roan splash with no Sooty but he does have spots
BRSpl heavy3
So are the spots just random? They don't seem to be coming from any sooty genes or white/appalosoa genes. I'm also far from an expert in genetics so maybe I'm over looking something simple :-)) -
The dark spots on roans of all colors are called corn spots. They are completely random.Thanked by 1Herzeloyde
