I'm the Guildmaster of a guild in a mmorpg I play, and over the holidays one of my senior officers got sepsis and wound up in the hospital. He's had at least three surgeries that we know of, and he last spoke to us the 1st week of Jan to say that he was hanging in there and still hospitalized.

We haven't heard from him since then.

It sucks not knowing. His family aren't gamers, and I'm not sure if they would even know about his Discord on his phone. He was a bachelor, and he lived alone, although his parents did live somewhat close by.

I can't even google to see if there was an obit because I don't know his last name. I do know the state he lives or lived in, where he worked. He might have mentioned where he lived, city wise, but I don't remember it.

I guess this is a good reminder for us to leave login information, etc, for family to be able to notify online friends and whatnot.
