Hi I'm new here and have some questions.
-
I'm having difficulty breeding and I'm afraid im not quite getting the instructions.
It says my stallion hasint been tested but to test him I might end up gelding him wich gelding meaning I wont be able to breed him. So im concerned, what if I don't want to geld him? What should I do? Is there nothing that I can do? I would like to know. Thank you.Post edited by Kavik at 2019-02-05 13:27:46 -
Hi Kavik, welcome to the game!
It looks like you got your breeding done already. The game was just warning you that you are taking a risk by using that stallion that he MIGHT not be any good. Then again, he might be great!
If you want to find guaranteed perfect foundation horses check out the Foundation Rescue. Here is a link to the horses it has up for sale right now: Foundation RescuePost edited by ConfluenceStable at 2019-02-05 14:48:35

Generally speaking, no matter how beautiful a game horse might be, if Breeding Advice neuters it, that is a good sign that it would not have been a good horse for breeding. That is, it would probably sire (in this case) foals that are less than the best, most of the time.
There is nothing to say, however, that you can't breed him if you really want to. Every player sets personal goals, so you can play however you want to, as long as you stay within the rules. Keep in mind that trying to sell the offspring of untested parents will probably be difficult.

Hi there! Welcome to the game, I understand it can me difficult understanding some aspects haha
All stallions start off untested (whether YOU breed them or you create them using herd helpers) and you have a choice whether or not you want to test them. True, they might be gelded which means he wont be able to breed.
You can always choose not to test him but it is just a warning the game using that he MIGHT not be a good breeding horse, he might not make better offspring. Which is the main point people breed right? To make better offspring and better lines (however you might just be interested in color and that's ok!).
So In my opinion I would test your stallion and if he's gelded keep him to collect points and get a better daily reward! And then if you have the funds, create or buy a stallion and try again! It's part of the fun of the game. And it takes a lot of trial and error
I hope you enjoy the community here, I know I do. If you have any questions let me know!
