"Memory Pony" - MPS Awareness from the old Skyway Center
-
The older players may remember Skyway Center (the ID number I play under now, prior to the merging of accounts). Today her daughter, Emily, earned her wings, on her 11th birthday and is now free of the ravages of Sanfilippo Syndrome, a type of MPS.
To keep Emily's memory alive, I am starting a new line, using an old tattoo that Skyway Center had made prior to me taking over the account. I created an adorable Ex Pro filly, who miraculously was chestnut (Skyway Center's favorite color) with a copy of nd1. My biggest dilemma is - do I make she-a-he, so I can have more impact with this line? I am leaning in that direction...
I will be adding satin to her/him and I hope mushroom makes it way around so I can make her/him a true blonde, just like Emily was.

Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry to hear she passed! :( What a beautiful horse to honor her memory on here.

My condolences to Skyway ... Sorry to hear of Emily's passing. He or she ... either or still have am impact, just be a little easier as a he (and cheaper ... flushing is expensive)

My thoughts are with the family. Very sorry to hear. It is a beautiful filly. I think keeping her a mare makes her a little more special.

A lovely memory pony for Emily, a stallion would have more impact, but a mare seems more fitting? Once you get a nice colt from the mare the line can grow from there?Thanked by 1Visions

Thanks everyone. I will keep this pony a filly. I will show her off when she is completed.
-
Deepest condolences to Skyway and all who knew Emily.

Sorry to hear of her passing and I agree, keep her a she because it would be more fitting.

I am keeping this pony a mare. Thanks for all the input.

I watched the link - what an awful disease. Prayers to your friend and her angel.
