If you buy just one strand of a specific gene, can you breed that horse to one that's homozygous for the same gene and potentially get a homozygous foal?

It would work like any other gene.. you would have a 50/50 chance of het/hom

Thanks, I was just making sure! I wasn't 100% if it still followed the gene rules you could only put one strand on, especially for something that needed a breeding license.
