I wish that there was a way to downvote breeding prices.

I was looking for mares to use some embryos on, and there were many plain foundation mares available for 10k. Not paying that much money when there's vet and implant fees to pay as well.

I'm generally used to seeing mares for 1k each. That's a far more reasonable fee.

I fear that it would be abused by members who think that the high breeding fees of heavily gmtd horses or sky high AFPT producers should be lower so they can breed to them..

Economics wins. If the price is too high, people won't pay it. But if people want to breed the mare bad enough, the price may be worth it. It's all about whether the owner really wants the horse bred, or only if they're not breeding her to make her available in case someone really wants to use her.

I price all my Expro brood mares at 2500 ... unless they are new and I just clicked on through while putting everyone up, then its 1000 hbs
