I really like Narce, so I put it on him:

I just can’t believe I spent that much money on one gene! Can someone please help me justify my decision? I don’t spend money on other games and worked 56 hours last week so I figured it was ok!

Thank you guys, you really make it easier for me. I’m 31 years old and pretty frugal and so sort of just quickly did it before I could back out. If it’s something I’ve been thinking about, so I figured just do it.

You are not alone.

I had the same conversation with my friend this summer. I really wanted Axiom but wasn’t sure if I should buy it.

She said to me:

Will it make you happy?
Will you enjoy it?
Will it harm another person?
Are you not going to be paying a important debt that needs to be paid in order to pay for this?

As long as the first 2 answers are yes and the last 2 no go for it!

She also said that she sees me spending all my time and money on other people and things (my animals) that I deserve to spend a little of that time and money on myself since I am working for it anyways

Bandit, thank you for that! Exactly what I was looking for. It’s just difficult for me, and I don’t hesitate to spend money on other people. When it comes to me I question the value.

I am the same way.

That particular friend needed to get some vaccines for school last year but didn’t have enough to cover it and was going to be kicked out of the program. She wasn’t even done telling me about it before I sent her the money. She paid me back after she finished school and got a good job in her field.

Axiom didn’t even cost 1/4 of the amount and I was hemming and hawing because it was for me not for anyone else. After I told her I was going to go for it and get 2 she told me to check my account and to make sure I got the 3rd

Thanks everyone for all the encouraging words! Once he’s of age, I’ll be sure to give straws to everyone who commented who has the genes, just remind me! And to those who don’t, I’m sure I can find other straws to send.
