"MSR" horses
-
As a lot of us know, the original MSR horses are from a User named "Madd04y". I personally have a bunch of horses with the MSR bloodline, so reasonably (I think) they deserve the MSR name. However, I've been seeing a bunch of foundation and, other non MSR bloodlined horses with the MSR name. Maybe I just have it all wrong. Is "MSR' a coloring? Is it a bloodine? Is it a trait or something? I'm sorry If I sound aggressive or something. I just love all MSR horses and I'd hate to ruin the "family name".

I mean, I dont think there's a rule against someone using abbreviations someone else used in the past.
I know players like master stablesMS uses abbreviations like MSR for Master Stables Riding horses or MS4 for Master Stables 4th gen or MSH For Mast Stables Heavy. That's truthfully the only one I've ever seen use "MSR"Thanked by 1Kintara -
I would bet most members have no idea what you mean by MSR horses. Just something someone used to mark their line.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

I agree - I had no idea. I think that what you're wanting to maintain is better done through the breed name that is available to upgraded members, there truly cannot be duplicated in that system.
-
Never even heard of MSR horses, sounds like just a prefix someone used at some stage, nothing wrong with anyone else using it
-
I’m with the others, I’ve never seen that prefix before.
-
I have not seen it before either.
-
It also appears Madd04y is still an active player using that prefix, so I’m not sure why you are as well? There’s no rule against it, though. Usually it’s a breeder’s prefix so unless they personally bred the horse, I wouldn’t add that prefix... but that’s just me. Unless of course you know them personally and they’re totally cool with it! Even then, it’s not against the rules, just not something I’d do.
If someone who had *some* of my lines in their horse started using my “ss” prefix, it would bother me.. as trivial as that may be. Especially if the horse wasn’t up to my stable’s standards of even breeding, passing SBA, etc :)Post edited by SharayahStables at 2019-03-07 17:36:12 -
Wow. I didn't think anybody cared. I contacted Madd04y and I guess we'll wait to see what she said. Thank you for the feedback everyone!
-
I’m sure not everyone cares, it’s just a personal preference. Sorry if it came across blunt, I’ve had a heck of a week and my brain is off.
Like I said, there’s no rule against it. Many stables don’t even use a prefix and I’m sure there’s duplicates out there due to stable abbreviations being the same :) -
I didn't really care......Post edited by NoelMills at 2019-03-07 21:34:00237621

No problem Sharaya, we all have our off days! You definitely have a point. I just Really like all of my horses that I've had out of Madd04y's horses, and I think all of those beautiful horses should a have a special name/indicator that they were from her stock.
-
I use that as a prefix myself; I am Master Stables so I always used MS as a prefix like Kintara said. When the riding horses and heavys appeared I started to use MSR and MSH to distinguish my foundations. But I've seen a lot MSRs running around as well lately. However, like Sharayah said is is nice if you are the only one using it but this is a game and anyone can do as they please. So I dislike it a little bit, but I still go on and breed/name/create as I did before, as that is my system to organize my horses.HJ1 160524

I use the search feature exclusively for dealing with my horses and add prefixes to help sort my horses for breeding or showing. My barn name was always JOLO after our old farm name and I have been using JL (JOLO Ladies), JS (JOLO Studs) and Z (show horse) for years and years.
A few years ago I found out that another person uses JS for their horses. Other than the odd double check when one of their horses is listed in a post I don’t remember posting, it doesn’t bother me since I normally always put my player ID in the search so I don’t see the others when sorting breedings out. (Or it bothers me a whole lot less than the thought of having to go through and change the prefixes of all my Studs to not be using the same one)Post edited by Bandit1119 at 2019-03-08 07:10:33Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes -
I tried to be original ... I was using NA (which i still use on my creates) but us CRVS instead, so far so good, no one has anything that close to that. I do tag the 2nd gens that I buy from others so that I know where they came from, or try and put their name in it. More for my info than anything.

I was prefixing all of my horses “Paradox” But that got old. lol Unfortunetly, my username as an acronym would be rather unfortunate as a prefix :))
The only other prefix I’ve used is “z” and “zz” to indicate that a mare has produced an intact offspring and one that papered over herself. I’ve kind of fallen away from it, but I think using it again will help me sort my 2G mares.
I ran into someone else using it. I’m not sure their reasoning, but I don’t care. Hopefully they don’t either. :p -
Oh! Unless I used PX.... hmmm....
-
Are you needing more names, @Paradox?
-
All my horses have a prefix of FS to indicate that I bred and own them. However, that's just how I choose to name my horses. My show horses are FSx with the x being which generation they are. FS2, FS3, so forth. If they're outside lines, they're FSo. If the stallion/mare was bred using a straw or public breeding, then they're either FFs or FFd to indicate which parent was a FS horse.
However, I don't expect the prefix FS to be all mine. It's not like I have it trademarked. It would be pretty silly, since this is just a game and other people are free to name their horses how they like. When I sort my horses, I sort it by breeder ID so it doesn't bother me. -
@bluchystals. Not really. I just got bored with “Paradox” names.
-
I've taken inspriation from you guys, and I'm turning my prefix to "XD". I don't think anybody has it. . .
-
Yep I use KT, and KT2, KT3 etc for the generations. Someone on either this or the other server started using KT as a prefix too so i just make sure I put my ID in the search. Easier than changing my prefix LOL!
-
Lol Kintara when I found out someone else had the same prefix I thought well I could change it... then I pulled up a list of horses with it and was like and that would take me about 3 weeks. It doesn’t bother me much and I’ve been using it for years (2008/9) so it’s so ingrained that that’s what I put. Also the other person had brought it to my attention more of a “oh your the one with the same prefix!” Not why do you use the same prefix? You should change it” so I took it as they weren’t completely bothered by it eitherBreeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genesThanked by 1Kintara
